Ode to the fearless who think before speaking; thus say what they think...

Communication has no limits.  Good speakers will become leaders and leaders become pioneers.

This is the new world.  In this world, the ones who are fearless are the ones who say it well.

Join us in a toast to the fearless.

Join us in Toastmasters.

Aloha!

Have you ever given a presentation and felt that your message didn't connect with the audience?  Have you felt uncomfortable at a social event chatting with people whom you didn't know?  Have you had the responsibility of heading up a team and felt that the team was ineffective?

Although we can't promise to fix these concerns, we can provide the environment, people and other resources to help you in these situations. We are the City & County of Honolulu Toastmasters.  As a Toastmasters International and Aloha District 49 Toastmasters club, our mission is, "to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth."

We do this by practicing the skills needed in leading, speaking, and evaluating during one hour meetings.  Those skills include:

  • Hosting and conducting the meeting (Toastmaster)
  • Delivering prepared speeches (Speaker)
  • Evaluating prepared speeches (Evaluator)
  • Conducting and participating in think-on-your-feet minute speeches (Table Topics)

We do this in a friendly and supportive environment. You can practice and learn with others who have diverse backgrounds and interests to contribute to your self-development.  We all strive for the same objective -- to become better communicators and leaders.  You'll also have fun along the way.

The City & County of Honolulu Toastmasters meets at noon on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month.  We meet in the 10th floor conference room in the Frank F. Fasi Municipal Building.  Guests are always welcome.
